How To Make Home Made Magnetic Slime

As seen on the KiwiCo Tinker Crate YouTube Channel, here are the instructions for how to create a home made magnetic slime - a fun activity for an amazing afternoon with your kids. This experiment can be dangerous for children, Parents supervision is required.

Materials & Equipment Required

For this experiment, you'll need:

  • White Glue

  • Iron Oxide Powder

  • Liquid Starch

  • Empty Cup

  • Magnets

  • Table Spoon

  • Craft Sticks

  • Paper Towel

  • Gloves to protect your hands

Step By Step Instructions

  1. To get started, put on your gloves.

  2. Take 1 table spoon of Iron Oxide, and put it in the empty cup.

  3. Add to that 2 table spoon of liquid starch and stir with a craft stick.

  4. Add 2 table spoons of white glue, stir well until you get a completely consistent mixture.

  5. pull your slime out of the cup, and mix it with your hands until it dries. You can also use the paper towel to help get it dry.

  6. You'll know it's ready when no black color is left on your hands.

  7. Now you can play with the slime - use your magnets to pull the slime to different directions.

Enjoy the slime!
